Check-in with Widerøe
To ensure a smooth start to your journey, we recommend checking in well before departure. Check-in is available in several ways:
When does check-in open?
22 hours before departure: Check-in opens for all Widerøe flights.
You can check in via mobile, the Widerøe app, website, or self-service kiosks at the airport.
How to check in?
Widerøe app: Fastest way to check in, receive your boarding pass, and get live gate updates.
Website wideroe.no: Log in through My trips and download your boarding pass.
Airport kiosks: Enter your booking reference or scan a QR code to print boarding passes and bag tags.
Check-in counter: Recommended if you need special assistance, are traveling with children alone, or have special baggage.
Deadlines for check-in and boarding
Check-in usually closes 30 minutes before departure on domestic flights.
At larger airports and international flights, check-in may close earlier – we recommend arriving at least 60 minutes before domestic and 90 minutes before international departures.
Boarding normally begins 20 minutes before departure, and gates close 15 minutes prior.
Tips for smoother check-in
Have valid ID and booking reference ready.
Use BagID or printed bag tags for faster baggage drop.
Check the Widerøe app frequently for updates in case of delays or gate changes.
